July 14th – KICKOFF!! Voices Across the Divide, A powerful documentary and oral history project exploring the Israeli/Palestinian conflict through rarely heard personal stories. Followed by Q&A with the film’s Director, Alice Rothchild.
July 28th –When I Saw You, Having been separated from his father in the chaos of war, Tarek, 11, and his mother Ghaydaa cross the border into Jordan in the wake of the 1967 War.
Aug 18th – Amreeka, A vivacious Palestinian woman and her teenage son cope with culture clash and more as they try to build a new life in rural Illinois.
Sept 29th – Flying Paper, An uplifting story of Palestinian youth in the Gaza Strip on a quest to break the Guinness World Record for the most kites ever flown. A film co-produced with young filmmakers in Gaza.
COST (per film): $12 in advance, $11 for 2 or more, $15 at the door
LOCATION: Private home in JP. Address sent upon registration. (Event will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather.)
Popcorn, beer, wine, and s’mores available for purchase. Bring blankets/lawn chairs to sit on.
